Using the feedback from teachers and schools we have put together the perfect range of affordable beginners violins for sale. Violins are available in a choice of different sizes from the smaller sized violins for children in 1/16 and 1/10, through to 3/4 and full sized 4/4. Contrary to belief it’s not that hard to play a violin however having a good quality and correct size instrument makes a big difference!

Student violins like the Antoni, Windsor or Theodore models start around £45 (usually including violin, bow, hard case and rosin) and offer a good starting point. We would suggest you always try to get an instrument with ebony tuning pegs as a minimum specification to avoid the instrument being potentially difficult to tune.
