TIGER's Large Wooden Cabasa is constructed with loops of steel ball chains wrapped around a wide steel cylinder. Attached to the wooden shell is a tapered wooden handle providing a secure, comfortable grip when playing. The Cabasa produces a rattling sound when shaken or twisted which sounds somewhat similar to a rattlesnake.
The Cabasa is a great piece of hand percussion that is popular in schools and theatres. Used particularly in Latin music, but also to provide unusual accents and rhythmic sounds in many other styles of music.
