The Vibraslap or as often known as a chatterbox is an excellent piece of percussion, most commonly found in Latin American music. Manufactured from durable thick bent metal wire connected to both a smooth wooden ball & hollow wooden box with metal 'teeth' inside, the percussionist holds the metal wire in one hand and strikes the ball, usually against the palm of the other hand. The hollow box acts as a resonating body for a metal mechanism placed inside with six loosely fastened pins that vibrate and rattle against the top & bottom of the box.
The Stagg Vibra-slap features high-grade metal & wooden parts & is a fantastic addition to any percussion setup.
