Ian Burton is Music Development Manager for the City of Nottingham Education Department. He has held posts in many areas of music education, including senior lecturer at Huddersfield University and course leader for PGCE secondary-music at Bath Spa University College. Ian is a member of the QCA Music Development Group and an inspector for Ofsted. He has been principal examiner in composing for OCR A-level music, a subject adviser for AQA GCSE music, and has been involved with the development of specifications for GCSE and A-level music. He is active as a conductor/composer/arranger with particular interest in creating material for schools.
